Notice Prior to Self-Evaluation
To protect the rights of laborers, promote gender equality in employment, and foster a friendly work environment, this self-evaluation is designed to assist all business units to understand and abide by relevant regulations while at the same time elevate the laborers’ working conditions. The main inspection points of the Gender Equality in Employment Act are listed below. The employers may use this self-evaluation chart to check whether they meet the standards of law.
The company must prepare the following documents and should be fully capable of handling all relevant issues:
- Recruitment advertisement.
- Work regulations and personnel rules (include educational training, benefits packages, salary management, bonus pay, workplace sexual harassment prevention measures, employee complaint procedure, and reward/punishment system…etc.).
- Employee personnel file. (Records the name, sex, date of birth, nationality, education level, address, ID number, on board date, salary, date of joining labor insurance, reward/punishment records, illness/disease condition, and other required facts.)
- Attendance record (includes the leaves).
- Payroll (includes all calculated items, amount, and sum of the salary of each laborer)
- The application procedures of the measures promoting equality in employment (such as menstrual leave, maternity leave…etc.), and the data of the actual number of laborers that have submitted an application within one year.)
- Breastfeeding/Breast milk collecting rooms, and childcare facilities or measures.
- Records of the employees’ application on Labor Insurance maternity benefits and subsidy for parental leave without pay.
