Definition of new residents: foreigners and people from Mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau, marrying to a Taiwan citizen who has a registered household identity in ROC, haven’t received the Taiwanese nationality but are permitted to stay and work with a marriage residence certificate.
We assist New Taipei City new residents who have desire and capacity for employment to look for jobs and take training courses.
Employment service such as job searching, job matching, counseling…etc., are available in every employment service counters within New Taipei City.
For new residents who are lack of skills in looking for jobs or are not familiar with the employment market, we teach the skills and knowledge they need through pre-employment & employment promotion courses.
Unemployed New Taipei City new residents may apply for transportation allowance for job searching in a nearby employment service counter. The counter would issue a document to help look for jobs, and NTD100 allowance would be given to the applicant each time, with the maximum of 4 times in one year.
While having the difficulty looking for jobs, the new residents could apply for the translation accompany service. With a translator being accompanied in the interview, we hope to overcome the language obstacle, thereby the new residents can have better written and verbal communication with the business entities.
For new residents aged in between 20 to 65, with registered household in New Taipei City for more than 4 months and certification of middle-to-low income household, we provide a low-interest loan and start-up consultation service. We help the applicants with the marketing of their products, and provide related courses to help them start up their own business with a small amount of loan, which could help them with the financial problem and to get away from the poverty.
