Definition of new residents: foreigners and people from Mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau, marrying to a Taiwan citizen who has a registered household identity in ROC, haven’t received the Taiwanese nationality but are permitted to stay and work with a marriage residence certificate.

We assist New Taipei City new residents who have desire and capacity for employment to look for jobs and take training courses.

Searching Jobs

Employment service such as job searching, job matching, counseling…etc., are available in every employment service counters within New Taipei City.

For new residents who are lack of skills in looking for jobs or are not familiar with the employment market, we teach the skills and knowledge they need through pre-employment & employment promotion courses.

Unemployed New Taipei City new residents may apply for transportation allowance for job searching in a nearby employment service counter. The counter would issue a document to help look for jobs, and NTD100 allowance would be given to the applicant each time, with the maximum of 4 times in one year.
