Our department consists of one commissioner, who is entrusted by the Mayor to handle and execute all core tasks, to direct and supervise all subsidiary organizations, institutions, and employees. And we have one deputy commissioner who assist the commissioner with all the department affairs.
Handling of labor disputes, layoff notification and disposition, operation and management of Labor Rights & Interest Fund…etc.
Supervision of Labor Rights & Interest Fund, prevention of employment discrimination, promotion of gender equality, inspection of false advertisement for recruitment, or matters related to the establishment and management of private employment institutions.
Matters such as union counseling, union affairs evaluation, labor education counseling, employee welfare counseling, subsidy for labor & health insurance.
Matters such as labor education, labor university planning, management of labor centers, as well as the promotion of recreation and cultural activities.
Management and inspection of the employment of foreign workers, consultation service regarding foreign workers’ working regulations and sheltering service.
Employment service for the disabled, sheltered workshop, vocational rehabilitation, fixed-proportion hiring, occupational accident assistance, management of Employment Fund for the Disabled…etc.
Handling of all matters concerning personnel management in accordance with the law.
Managing all matters relating to budgeting, accounting, and statistics in accordance with the law.
Handling of all matters concerning government ethics in accordance with the law.
Documents/file management, official document management, cashier, procurement, property management, legal affairs, research and evaluation, administration plan, information management, public relations, press releases, general affairs, and matters not belonging to other units or divisions.
